3. Create A Food Chain

Overview

For this activity you will need:

Paper 📑

Scissors ✀

Glue/Stapler 🔗

Textas/Coloured Pencils ✐

Animal Printouts (optional) 🐾

During this activity you will be making a paper food chain.

Step 1: Create Your Chain

For step-by-step instructions on how to make a paper chain click on the picture above

Cut 5 strips of paper for your paper chain.

Using the organisms in the food chain below (rose, raccoon, earthworm, bear, bee), draw (or print, colour, and glue) pictures of the organisms on the strips of paper.

Once you have drawn the organisms onto the strips of paper, place them in the correct order and glue your chain together. 

Step 2: Upload a Picture and Write about Your Food Chain

Now that you have created your paper food chain, click on the green +.in the bottom right hand corner of the Padlet.

Once you have clicked the green +:

1. Put your name in the Subject section
2. Upload a picture (or directly take a picture) of your paper food chain
3. Add a comment in the Comment section naming the producer, consumers and decomposer 
4. Click Publish

NOTE: In the example below there is no decomposer but yours will have one.
